What is HIFU?
HIFU stands for High Intensity Focused Ultrasound and it uses ultrasound energy to encourage the production of collagen, which results in firmer skin.
HIFU targets the layers of skin just below the surface. The ultrasound energy causes the tissue to heat up rapidly. This causes cellular damage with will then stimulate the production of new collagen in the area targeted.
The increase in collagen results in tighter and firmer skin.
How does it work?
The HIFU machine is moved over the area of the face that needs to be targeted. The head is moved slowly over the area and there is a series of beeps as the High Intensity Ultrasound targets the tissue.
Depending on the area targeted the treatment will last between 30 and 60 minutes.
We can target areas such as eyebrows, jowls, face and neck.
